Grass-finished ribeye and dark greens β€” the 4M plate
This is the plan. Protein first, sourced clean, eaten inside a window that works for your brain.

How we eat

We don't prescribe a dietary ideology. We prescribe a standard and a structure: what enters the house, when it gets eaten, and what goes first. Three rules, learnable in a week, sustainable for life β€” because the goal isn't a diet phase. The goal is the best mind possible until your last day of life, and every meal is either a deposit toward that or a tax against it.

1 Β· What you eat β€” the sourcing standard

Modern food is calorie-dense and nutrient-sparse by design. The same protein gram from a grass-finished ribeye and a feedlot chicken breast carry meaningfully different inflammatory, hormonal, and micronutrient profiles. So the first rule isn't about macros β€” it's about what qualifies as food.

Animals raised on their natural diet

Grass-finished beef, pasture-raised pork and poultry, wild-caught seafood. The baseline criteria for every protein on the plate.

Real food first

Single-ingredient foods, minimally processed. If it has a mascot or a health claim on the box, it isn't on the plan.

Organ meat integration

Liver, heart, and kidney are the most nutrient-dense foods available β€” whole, or encapsulated for those who won't eat them from the pan.

Zero seed oils

Canola, soybean, sunflower, safflower, and corn oils drive linoleic-acid accumulation and chronic inflammation. They're removed entirely β€” not moderated.

2 Β· When you eat β€” the eating window

The default 4M window is 9am to 6pm, five days a week. Morning training or a fasted walk happens before the window opens β€” you move first, then you eat. Give yourself up to two off-days a week for what matters β€” breakfast with the kids or grandkids β€” then walk 30 minutes after the meal. Men optimizing sleep and evening cortisol can tighten the close to 4–5pm. What matters most isn't perfection; it's that most days eating has a start, an end, and nothing after the end. Late-night food is one of the most reliable ways to degrade deep sleep β€” and deep sleep is when the brain does its maintenance.

Eliminate the insulting behavior

Most men don't need to add anything to fix their nutrition β€” they need to stop insulting their biology at the table. The big four: seed oils in everything fried or packaged, eating within three hours of bed, liquid calories that spike and crash, and grazing all day so insulin never rests. Eliminate those and the sourcing standard above does the rest.

Inflammatory food is a MindSpan tax paid at every meal. The three rules on this page are among the simplest levers a man has for moving his score in the right direction β€” starting at the very next meal.
